About Our Presenters

Dawn Duncliffe

Dawn Duncliffe (she/her) has served as the Director of Music at Dunbarton-Fairport United Church since 2009 and encouraged Dunbarton-Fairport to be one of the many test groups for the sampler of Then Let Us Sing!  She also served on the Board of Directors of the Summer Institute of Church Music from 2012 to 2019, primarily as the Secretary then later taking on the role of the Registrar. In 2022, she accepted the position of Program Co-ordinator for Music United, serving until 2024.

Dawn enjoys singing and playing hymns from many different styles and eras and is looking forward to sharing examples from Then Let Us Sing! and singing together.

Debbie Fingas

Debbie is the Minister of Music at Trinity United Church in Cobourg, Ontario, where she accompanies weekly services and conducts two children’s choirs, the Chancel Choir and the Jubilate Handbell Choir. Trinity United started using selections from Then Let us Sing as part of the  sampler process and online system when it was launched and is now fundraising to purchase physical copies of the book for the pews. 

She has taught numerous workshops in handbells, keyboard skills and choral sessions including being on faculty for the Ontario Guild of English Handbell Ringers Festival, Handbell Musicians of America and the Summer Institute of Church Music. In addition, she is the Past Chair of Music United (the association of musicians in the United Church) and President of the Northumberland Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
